Carl and Janice Greenley are entrepreneurial partners with a shared passion for building financial freedom through real estate investing and energy consulting. Together, they co-founded Green Root Capital, specializing in multifamily and self-storage investments, helping passive investors grow their wealth outside of the stock market. They also co-founded NewPower Energy, providing personalized energy consulting to help residential and small commercial customers save on electricity and gas bills.

Carl, a U.S. Army veteran (1993–1997), grew up in Pennsylvania and New York State, moving frequently due to his parents' divorce. His versatilty and resilience laid the foundation for his success in business and investing. After serving in the military, he built a successful career as an IT Enterprise Architect before transitioning into real estate and entrepreneurship.

Janice, the daughter of a U.S. Army veteran, grew up in Germany and various other locations, developing a strong sense of adaptability and discipline. She spent 20 years as an IT Recruiter before transitioning into entrepreneurship. While working for a title company, she met Carl, who was serving in the Army at the time. They married in 1999 and quickly moved to Dallas in 2000, where they built their careers and businesses together.

With a combination of military discipline, corporate experience, and business acumen, Carl and Janice have built a thriving investment and consulting portfolio. Their mission is to help others achieve financial independence through smart investments and strategic energy solutions.

Outside of business, you'll most likely see them hanging out with their children and grandchildren. When time permits, Carl enjoys hunting, fishing, and restoring his 1977 Blazer, while Janice has a passion for permaculture gardening, from-scratch cooking, and bread making. Together, they embrace a lifestyle that values both self-sufficiency and adventure.
